The Dushanbe Water Process is an important initiative of the Government of Tajikistan to support the implementation of internationally agreed water-related goals through a series of biennial conferences hosted by the Government of Tajikistan in close cooperation with the United Nations.

This year’s event aims to follow up on commitments made during the UN 2023 Water Conference and accelerate actions towards achieving the Water Action Agenda.

The conference will be held just over four weeks before the launch of the first-ever United Nations System-wide Strategy for Water and Sanitation. The five ‘entry points’ of the Strategy, which will lead to five areas of outcomes and outputs, are a legacy of the Dushanbe Water Process to date.
